Dara (Dare-ah) Kaneko (Kah-neh-ko) Woo
Originally from Cupertino, CA, Dara Woo is a SAG half Japanese, half Chinese actress and model living in NYC.
Dara is a dynamic performer with a diverse background.
She recently booked her first network TV co-star role on Blue Bloods on CBS.
Additionally, she recently played a supporting role in a feature film produced by MarVista Entertainment (a FOX company).
Currently, she is immersed in honing her craft through professional TV/film classes at The MN (Matt Newton) Acting Studio.
Her acting prowess is showcased on TikTok (@silverdare), where she has garnered an impressive 5 million views on her acting scenes.
Dara is actively seeking representation from a theatrical agent based in NYC.
Outside of acting she is also well versed in the world of modeling. She's been a model in campaigns for
Target, L'Oreal, Reebok x Sports Illustrated, Burlington, Universal Music Group, Olivia Rodrigo, Microsoft, Invisalign, etc.
She is currently signed to a mother agent in NYC and hopes to sign to other markets like LA, Miami, and London soon.
In a previous chapter of her life, Dara achieved national recognition as a martial artist,
holding a black belt in Judo and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
She was ranked 5th in the United States in Judo from 2013-2015 and has won the U.S. Open in both sports.
She still actively trains in BJJ multiple times a week.
Fueling her passion, she dreams of playing the lead in an action film.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Dara is a dedicated advocate for women in tech and youth computer science education.
She spent over 5 years teaching non-profit programming classes in Southeast Michigan and the Silicon Valley.
A proud alumna of the University of Michigan, she holds a B.S. in Computer Science and has contributed her skills as a software engineer at Lyft, Salesforce, Disney, and EA (Electronic Arts).
