Dara (Dare-ah) Kaneko (Kah-neh-ko) Woo

Dara Woo is a New York City–based SAG-AFTRA actor and model. She appeared on Broadway in The Picture of Dorian Gray at the Music Box Theatre, a production nominated for 6 Tony Awards (starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Sarah Snook, directed by Kip Williams). She is currently appearing in Take a Banana for the Ride on Broadway (starring Emmy nominee Jeff Ross, directed by Academy Award and DGA nominee Stephen Kessler).
On screen, Dara appeared in a co-star role on Blue Bloods (CBS) and played a supporting role in a feature film produced by MarVista Entertainment, a FOX company. Her acting scenes have attracted over 5 million views on TikTok (@silverdare), and she trains regularly with Bryan Manley Davis.
As a model, Dara has modeled for brands including Maybelline, L'Oréal, Target, Reebok x Sports Illustrated, and Olivia Rodrigo. She is represented in both NYC and London.
A former nationally ranked martial artist, Dara holds a black belt in Judo and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and continues to train weekly. She aspires to bring her martial arts background to a leading role in an action film.
Before transitioning to acting, Dara worked as a software engineer at Lyft, Salesforce, Disney, and EA. She earned her B.S. in Computer Science from University of Michigan and is an advocate for youth computer science education and women in tech.
Dara is half Japanese and half Chinese, and originally from Silicon Valley.
